Measuring the weather

Yesterday, 6G became meteorologists for the afternoon. Using anemometers made by themselves, they went out to the school playground to begin measuring the wind speed for the afternoon of 12th November. Watch this space for bar graphs and pie charts which will show our data collection over the coming weeks.

We wasn't able to catch that much wind, it was strong breeze when we went outside

The Anometers Were Very Rubbish They Did Not Pick Up Any Speed At All. On The Beaufort Scale It Was
2.

the anemometers were easy to make but very irratating because they always kept falling apart because it was very windy

The anemometers were fun trying but they didn't work much.... :( oh well better luck next year, i think the problem we had was because they kept falling apart ..... we should have tried the test as soon as we made the anemomters, not like a few weeks after we made them. Most of the anemometers had played dominos, and of a result of that, they broke :(.

We went outside to test our anemometers yesterday. Because the wind was not that strong, it did not quite work as we wanted it to, but it was fun testing out the anemometers anyway.

We read about the Beaufort scale aswell; it is an international scale used all over the world to test the strength of the wind. It has numbers from 0 to 12; the number 12 is a hurricane. It was not hurricane weather yesterday though.

We tested our anometers but they did not work very well. Infact, sadly, most of them broke! Next time we would make them much more stable.

We also learnt about the Beaufort scale,it is a scale which measures the wind strength from 0 to 12.
